If you have ever taken children grocery shopping, you know my pain. I always come out with way more than I went in for because my little beggars ask for more and more. I always give in and say yes. That is why I could not have been happier to give the Wal Mart Online Grocery Pickup a try. Not only did I not have to take my small tribe of little people in, we stayed in the air conditioned car while Jarrett, the nice young Wal Mart representative loaded my groceries. You do not even have to tip, how COOL is that. It was as cool as the ice cream I purchased that day, that was still cool when I got it home. I could not have been happier. Let me remind you, you do not have to sign up for a membership and there is no fee. It just does not get any better.

You start by logging into your local Wal Mart Grocery that has a pickup service in your area. I used the Concord location at 3905 Concord Pkwy S. Once logged in you will choose a location to pickup at and also a time to pick up your order. To get the same day service, you just need to shop and submit your order by 1pm. If not, you will choose next day service.
They have a search feature on the site that is amazing. I found all of my favorite frozen treats. My kids are crazy about the Breyers 2in1 ice cream tubs. I thought it would be weird, but they loved it and asked for more. You can also shop by departments and find all the things you need. It is so convenient. Do not worry about things staying cold unless you are not going straight home. My items were fresh, cold, and they were still nice and cool when I got them home. Of course, the ice cream and frozen treats did not last long once opened.
I love this service because there are times I am exhausted and I just want to go pick up my groceries and bring them home. That way, I do not pick up extra things I do not need. If you forget something on the list, they give you a certain amount of time to add things you need. You can use the Wal Mart Online Grocery App to shop and place your order as well. I have it on my phone.
You will get an email that your order is ready for pickup. Once you do, you just let them know you are on the way on your Wal Mart Grocery App. When you arrive, you park in the designated parking space for Pickup highlighted in orange. You do not have to get out of the car. The representative will give you details on your order and then once happy, you sign your name. They will load your groceries where you want them and that is it! So simple and hassle free.
I know when I have birthday parties or holiday events, this is how I am doing it from now on to take the stress off. This is perfect for parents with sleeping babies in the car or a car full of kiddos like me. When I get home, I make them earn those yummy ice cream treats by carrying in the groceries for mom. WIN!!!
Pictured below is Jarrett bringing out my order and going over it with me before I sign. He then loads it and off we go. Once home, the ice cream and frozen treats are still nice and cold. The kids cannot wait to dig in, and they do. So yummy. This summer, do not hesitate to get online or on your Wal Mart Grocery App and place an order for your frozen treats to cool you down.
